LaTeX on openSUSE 10.3

openSUSE 10.3 comes with TeXLive 2007 a vast improvement over teTeX which come with OpenSUSE 10.2 but which is not supported any more [1].

Unfortunately TeXLive does not come with the following LaTeX packages,

  • isodate
  • numprint

where as others are very old, especially

  • beamer

To quickly get the latest LaTeX package installed on you system, use M(iKTeX) P(ackage) M(anager) for Unix-alikes.
