- In 2002 I obtained a PhD from the University of Stellenbosch. The main focus was adaptive methods for hybrid, finite element, boundary integral methods.
- During 2003--2004 I was a post-doctoral research associate within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA.
- During 2008--2010 I worked at EM Software & Systems - S.A. (Pty) Ltd, which develops the EM simulation software suite FEKO.
