Ubuntu Idea: How to get ISV’s involved

The problem for Ubuntu is that there is no “killer” app out there. Why not pick one app from each major industry using PC’s exculsivley for production and port the app to Ubuntu.

Ubuntu Idea: Smarter and cleaner startup

The startup of Ubuntu after the BIOS should be smooth all the way to the desktop. No glitches – this is the 1st impression of Ubuntu that counts. To do this startup could be broken down into components as follows;

ubuntu-xwindows-startup
ubuntu-kde-startup
