Welcome

The picture you see is of the northern side of the Jonkershoek Valley in Stellenbosch. The views from the peaks seen on the right include Table Mountain and the harbour, Robben Island, Cape Point, False Bay, The Strand and then round to Hermanus. The Eerste River flows from the valley and through the town. The valley and surrounding formations provide the backdrop to the University. Picture from Twin Peaks in Jonkershoek

The Square Kilometre Array, South Africa (SKA-SA) funds a significant number of research programmes within the Department of EE Engineering. I remain involved on a 10% basis having taken early retirement from Stellenbosch University on 31 December 2014.

I am now with Omicron Electronics, Klaus, Austria: https://www.omicron.at/

Postgraduate Opportunities in SKA Electromagnetics - contact Prof D B Davidson: davidson@sun.ac.za

Postgraduate Opportunities in SKA EMC and Metrology - contact Dr P Gideon Wiid: wiidg@sun.ac.za

See: www.ska.ac.za for details on the SKA programmes.
